Meet Nic: Farmer's Wife and Mother of Five

Hello! I'm Nic, a proud farmer's wife and the mother of five wonderful children.

The idea of *Farm Raised 5* has been a dream of mine, patiently waiting for me to muster the courage to bring it to life.

Why the Name?

The name is quite simple – I have five farm-raised kids, and that’s the inspiration behind it.

Why Tallow?

I have a deep-seated desire to create, and I grew tired of companies that label their products as non-toxic while they’re filled with harmful ingredients. It broke my heart to see my 14-year-old slathering her face with these toxic products. Does my daughter now use tallow - YES and she even steels mine if she cant find hers or she out. I'm hoping to involve her more in the process with her helping create a tallow lip tint.

Determined to find a better solution, I immersed myself in the ancient craft of handcrafting tallow. Each small batch is rendered, infused, whipped, and poured by my hands right here on our family farm. I believe it does more than just heal our skin.

My Photography Journey

I’m also a photographer by trade, although I've stepped back from taking clients. The urge to pick up a camera is always present. With five children, you can imagine the countless photos I’ve gathered over the years. Transforming these images into coloring books has brought me immense joy.

These books are designed with farm kids in mind, featuring farm animals, bikes, and relatable themes. Of course, adults can enjoy them too!

The Future

As *Farm Raised 5* continues to grow - with plans for a pantry & wardrobe section in the farm shop, I hope to inspire others to embrace a more natural and intentional lifestyle. Whether it’s through nourishing skincare, photography, pantry staples, or the simple act of living close to the land, there’s so much beauty to be found in the everyday

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Here’s to farm-raised adventures and the endless possibilities they hold!
